I bought a beautiful 60s cashmere coat for like 5 bucks and I do not have the $ to dry clean it. I figure if I leave it out in bright sunshine for a couple of days in cold Nov. weather it should be fine to wear correct? Should I take additional steps to clean?
Leaving it outside won’t hurt. Might not help much either but I don’t know what you think might be in it. Drycleaning is the only way I’d consider cleaning it. Definitely get it cleaned if you store it in the summer. Moths are most likely to get into dirty clothing.
